Prevent frozen car door by treating rubber door strips against frost
It’s almost time for the winter and temperatures are going down fast. That means it’s time to treat the rubber door strips of your car to prevent them from freezing together. Because without proper treatment you run the risk of not being able to open your car’s door in the morning. Or even worse, completely destroying the rubber door strips which can be very expensive to replace. Make prepping the rubber strips part of your winter car wash routine.
Video routine: clean and treat rubber door strips in the winter
Here is my routine how I clean and treat the rubber door strips of my car’s doors to protect them from frost and freezing together. My favorite product is Sonax Gummi Pfleger because it works great, is of high quality and a well-known brand. By cleaning the rubber strips first I have noticed that the Sonax anti-frost protection lasts much longer.
