  4. Orchestration Block: Oversees all automation within the SD WAN network, including provisioning and authentication.

What are the deployment Options for SD WAN Architecture?

Customers can deploy SD WAN architecture in three primary locations:

  1. On-Premises: Using dedicated networking equipment at their office or data center.
  2. Cloud: Connecting virtual machines provided by a cloud provider to link physical sites and SD WAN users to a cloud platform.
  3. Hybrid: Combining cloud deployment with a network backbone, building SD WAN infrastructure both in the cloud and between cloud providers using a private network backbone.

Customers have multiple options for building and using SD WAN networks:

  1. Self-Built: Constructing their own SD WAN network with dedicated hardware, maintaining full control.
  2. Via a managed Services Provider (MSP): Utilizing SD WAN services from an MSP, who builds and manages the network based on customer requirements for a recurring fee.
  3. Via a Cloud Provider Managed: Leveraging a global network of SD WAN Points of Presence (PoPs) and infrastructure from a cloud provider, enabling rapid deployment and service usage based on demand.
