I Upgraded My Vlogging Gear! Nikon Z50II + RØDE Wireless PRO Setup & Tesla POV Plans
Decided it was time to upgrade my camera gear! In this video, I share my personal journey transitioning from smartphone content to a professional setup featuring the new Nikon Z50II, a SmallRig vlogging grip, and the RØDE Wireless PRO microphone system.
As a beginner navigating manual camera settings, shutter speeds, and lenses, I’m testing this mirrorless setup for car content creation, Tesla POV driving videos, and family photography. I hope you will be patient and forgive me for making beginner mistakes with this new gear as all the settings are quite overwhelming 🙂
GEAR MENTIONED (Amazon affiliate links):
- Camera: Nikon Z50II / Nikon Z50 Mark II (16-50mm Kit Lens)
- Audio: RØDE Wireless PRO Wireless Microphone System
- Rigging: SmallRig Wireless Folding Grip
- Mobile POV Rig: Motorola Edge 60 Neo
Feedback
What wide-angle lens or action camera do you recommend for immersive Tesla cabin / POV driving shots? The Nikon Z50II is too heavy and I can hang or place it anywhere without heavy duty suction mounts and I am not sure I want to risk that. Let me know in the comments below! Check in this video how I have used my Motorola RAZR 40 Ultra Smartphone as a camera for YouTube content creation the last 2 years.
