Best tire shine and protection for your car with MaFra Black 3 Plus
Let me show you my 10 minute routine to let your tires shine like an Italian Mafia boss this summer season. Your car’s tires will look absolutely amazing and they will be protected better against UV and premature aging and cracking. This applies especially to your tire’s Sidewall which stands exposed in the burning summer sun.
Here’s the product from the video that I applied on my Tesla Model 3 Performance summer tires from Pirelli.
Benefits of using car tire shine for protection in the hot summer sun
Can car tire shine protect against UV, cracking and premature aging of tires? Tire shine products can offer some protection against UV damage, cracking, and premature aging of tires.
- Premature Aging: By maintaining the tire’s elasticity and protecting against environmental factors like ozone, heat, and UV exposure, quality tire shines can slow aging. Products designed as “tire dressings” rather than just cosmetic shines are better at long-term preservation.
- UV Protection: Many tire shine products contain UV inhibitors or blockers that help shield the rubber from ultraviolet rays, which can break down the tire’s compounds and cause fading or cracking. Silicone-based or water-based products with specific UV protectants are more effective at this than basic sprays without UV additives.
- Cracking, Aging and Dry Rot: Tire shines often include conditioning agents that moisturize the rubber, preventing it from drying out, aging and cracking while in storage. Products with natural oils or polymers can penetrate the rubber to maintain flexibility, reducing the risk of cracks. However, overuse of some silicone-heavy products can attract dirt or lead to uneven drying, which might negate benefits.
Remember that tire shine and dressing will last much longer if you have properly cleaned your car’s tires before applying the product. Check out also this article how to check the right minimum profile depth on new tires.
